Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 12 minutes
Pre-heat 5 minutes
Total Time 27 minutes
Servings 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground turkey (93% lean works best; 99% can be dry)
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise (adds moisture and richness)
  • 2 tbsp grated yellow onion (squeeze out excess liquid)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1–2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Avocado oil spray or olive oil spray
  • Butter lettuce or romaine leaves
  • Tomato slices, red onion, and pickles
  • Avocado slices
  • Sugar-free ketchup, mustard, or chipotle mayo

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer: Set it to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes. Lightly oil the basket or use parchment made for air fryers to prevent sticking.
  • Make the mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, mayonnaise, grated onion, egg, Dijon, garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, oregano, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix gently with a fork or your hands until just combined. Don’t overwork it.
  • Form patties: Divide into 4 equal portions. Wet your hands and shape into patties about 1/2–3/4 inch thick. Press a small dimple in the center to help them cook evenly.
  • Air fry: Place patties in a single layer in the basket. Spray the tops lightly with oil. Cook for 6–7 minutes.
  • Flip and finish: Flip, spray again, and cook another 5–7 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Total time is usually 11–14 minutes, depending on thickness and your air fryer model.
  • Rest and serve: Let patties rest for 3 minutes. Serve in lettuce wraps with your favorite keto toppings.
