Preheat the air fryer: Set to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes. A hot basket helps create a crispy crust.
Prep the potatoes: If your frozen potatoes are clumped, break them apart.
No need to thaw. Lightly spray with oil or toss with a teaspoon of oil for extra crunch. Season with salt, pepper, and any spices you like.
Load the basket: Add potatoes in a single layer with a little space between pieces. Do not overfill.
If you have more than a single layer, cook in batches for best results.
Air fry: Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 10–14 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Start checking around the 8-minute mark—smaller cubes cook faster than larger chunks.
Make them extra crispy: For deeper color, add 2–3 more minutes at the end. Taste and adjust salt and pepper.
Finish and serve: Toss with fresh herbs, a pinch of paprika, or a sprinkle of cheese while hot.
Serve with eggs, avocado, or your favorite breakfast protein.
