Air Fryer Oreos (Easy Fair-Style Treat)

Cook Time 8 minutes
Pre-heat 3 minutes
Total Time 11 minutes

Ingredients

  • Oreos: Regular, Double Stuf, or flavored. About 12 cookies.
  • Refrigerated biscuit dough or refrigerated crescent roll dough (1 small can). You can also use pancake mix; see Alternatives.
  • Cooking spray or a little neutral oil (for the basket and tops).
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting).
  • Optional: A splash of milk and a pinch of cinnamon if you’re using pancake mix; chocolate or caramel sauce for drizzling.

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer: Set to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes. A warm basket helps the dough puff evenly.
  • Prep the basket: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with oil. This helps prevent sticking.
  • Wrap the Oreos: Using biscuit dough: Split each biscuit in half horizontally to make two thinner rounds. Place an Oreo in the center and stretch the dough around it, pinching the seams tight so no cookie peeks out. Using crescent dough: Pinch the perforations to seal, cut into squares, and wrap each Oreo fully, sealing edges well.
  • Arrange in the basket: Place wrapped Oreos in a single layer, seam-side down, leaving a little space between each.
  • Lightly oil the tops: A quick mist or brush of oil promotes even browning.
  • Air fry: Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 6–8 minutes until puffed and golden. Check at 5 minutes; every air fryer runs a bit different.
  • Cool briefly: Let them sit for 2–3 minutes. The centers will be hot and gooey.
  • Finish and serve: Dust generously with powdered sugar. Add a drizzle of chocolate or caramel if you like. Serve warm.
