Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Dip Cups

Cook Time 9 minutes
Pre-heat 5 minutes
Total Time 14 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie or canned, well-drained)
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/3 cup hot sauce Frank’s RedHot style, adjust to taste
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella optional for extra pull
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced, plus more for garnish
  • Wonton wrappers or small street taco tortillas 4–5 inch, about 18–24 pieces
  • Cooking spray or a little oil for misting the cups
  • Optional toppings: blue cheese crumbles chopped cilantro or parsley, extra hot sauce, ranch drizzle
  • Optional spices: 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp onion powder, pinch of smoked paprika

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer: Set to 350°F (175°C). If your air fryer needs preheating, give it a few minutes to come to temp.
  • Prep the cups: Lightly mist silicone muffin cups or a metal muffin tin that fits in your air fryer basket. If using wonton wrappers, use two per cup for sturdiness. If using tortillas, press one into each cup and crimp the edges.
  • Make the filling: In a medium bowl, stir together softened cream cheese, hot sauce, and ranch until smooth. Add garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika if using. Fold in shredded chicken, 3/4 cup cheddar, mozzarella, and green onions.
  • Assemble: Spoon 1–2 tablespoons of filling into each cup. Do not overfill; you want a small mound that won’t spill over. Top each with a pinch of the remaining cheddar.
  • Air fry, batch by batch: Place the tray or cups in the basket. Air fry for 7–9 minutes, until the wrappers are golden and crisp and the cheese is bubbling. Rotate the tray halfway if your air fryer has hot spots.
  • Finish and garnish: Let the cups cool for 2–3 minutes to set. Top with extra green onions, blue cheese crumbles, or a light drizzle of hot sauce or ranch.
  • Serve warm: Transfer to a platter and serve immediately. Keep subsequent batches cycling through the air fryer while people snack.
