Prep the basket: Line the air fryer basket with a perforated parchment liner, or cut parchment to fit. Leave space around the edges for airflow. If not using parchment, lightly mist the basket with cooking spray.
Space the dough: Place 2–4 pieces of frozen cookie dough in the basket.
Leave at least 1.5 inches between pieces. Do not overcrowd—cookies spread.
Set the temperature: Air fry at 320°F (160°C). This gentler heat helps the centers bake through without over-browning the tops.
Cook time: Air fry for 6–9 minutes, depending on size and dough type.
Start checking at 6 minutes. The edges should be set, and the centers slightly soft and puffy.
Rotate if needed: If your air fryer has hot spots, gently rotate the basket at the 5-minute mark for even browning.
Rest to finish: Let the cookies sit in the basket for 2–3 minutes after cooking. They’ll continue to set and become easier to lift.
Cool and serve: Transfer to a rack for 5 minutes for soft, chewy centers.
Add a pinch of flaky salt if you like the sweet-salty contrast.
